Lemon Drop Martini

McCormick and Schmick's Recipe

Makes 1 Drink

granulated sugar
lemon wedge
1 1/2 ounces Citron Vodka
3/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1/4 ounce Cointreau

Place a thin layer of sugar on a plate. Rub the rim of a chilled cocktail glass with the lemon wedge, then invert glass onto the sugar to coat the rim. Place vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup and Cointreau in a cocktail shaker. Add ice, shake vigorously and strain into the sugar rimmed cocktail glass. Garnish with the lemon wedge.

To make simple syrup, bring 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup water to a boil. Once sugar is dissolved, remove from heat. Allow to cool to room temperature, then store in a bottle or other lidded container in the refrigerator.
